Professional Dog Training School

Are you looking to start a new career?  Do you love being around dogs and other animals?  If so, a career as a professional dog trainer is for you!

The Petropolis professional dog training school is located in Chesterfield, MO near St. Louis.  Petropolis opened it’s doors in 1988, and the academy started training students in 1993.  The head training instructor, Rob Schenberg, has over 25 years of experience in dog training education.  Rob  has been a Professional Trade School Program teacher, educator for behavior modification, and instructor for AKC Obedience, Schutzhund titles, and scent detection.

During your education in professional dog training, learning is divided into four week segments. Each section provides education on how to be effective in the business of dog training. Students who attend the school will participate at all levels of the training program to provide them with actual working experience. In addition, students will be taught the basics of marketing, kennel operations, animal health, and how to deal with a range of people – the client and pet owner, the store or kennel manager, veterinarians, support staff, sporting groups, and rescue organizations.
